About the St. Germain's Alumni Association

"Reddituri Pietas" — Give back with Gratitude.

The St. Germain's Alumni Association (SGAA) was founded in 1949 by Rev. Msgr. Patrick Aranjo to serve as a forum that promotes interaction amongst the Germainite family and to enable the dissemination of information on the alumni and their activities. SGAA is run entirely by alumni, for alumni — its committee is elected by members and serves a fixed term.

SGAA is the alumni body of St. Germain's High School, Promenade Road, Cleveland Town, Bangalore — an institution of The Archdiocesan Board Of Education Bangalore. Generations of Germainites have passed through the school's four houses — Aranjo (Green), Froger (Blue), Thomas (Red) and Vissac (Yellow) — and the alumni association exists to keep that family connected long after school days end.

Why donate

Contributions through this portal go directly to the cause you select at the time of giving:

  • Teacher Benefit Fund — financial assistance for current and retired teachers facing medical or family emergencies, in recognition of the decades they have given to shaping students.
  • Sports Tournaments Benefit Fund — equipment, travel, coaching, and tournament fees so every promising student athlete can compete regardless of family income.
  • Student Benefit Fund — need-based scholarships, textbooks, uniforms, and exam fees for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Alumni General Benefit Fund — unrestricted giving that the alumni association directs to wherever the institution's need is greatest in any given year.

How we account for your donation

Every successful donation is acknowledged immediately by email with an 80G receipt attached as a PDF. Receipt numbers are issued sequentially within each financial year (e.g. SGAA/2026-27/0001), and a register of all receipts is maintained for compliance with Income Tax record-keeping requirements (8-year retention). The alumni committee publishes an annual statement of how the funds were disbursed, available on request.
