These terms govern your use of the donation portal operated by the St. Germain's Alumni Association (SGAA), the alumni body of St. Germain's High School, Bangalore. By using the portal you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent / guardian) to make a donation through this portal. By submitting a donation you confirm that the funds being contributed are your own and are not the proceeds of any unlawful activity.

2. Nature of donations

• All donations are voluntary contributions to SGAA for the fund you select at the time of giving.
• Donations are accepted in Indian Rupees (INR) only. The minimum donation is ₹100.
• Once a donation has been successfully processed by the payment gateway, please refer to the refund policy.
• An 80G receipt is issued by email after the gateway confirms the payment. Eligibility for tax deduction is subject to your compliance with Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, including the requirement that donations of ₹2,000 or more must be made in non-cash form.

3. Accuracy of information

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the donor name, email, mobile number, batch year, class, address, and PAN you provide. Receipts are issued using exactly the information you submit. Once the financial year closes, corrections to the donor register may not be possible.

4. Payment gateways

Payment processing is performed by PayU India and/or Razorpay. By completing a transaction you also agree to the relevant gateway's terms of service and privacy policy. SGAA is not liable for issues arising from gateway downtime, gateway-side processing errors, or any third-party service provided by the gateway. Such issues should be raised directly with the gateway in the first instance, and a copy sent to donations@stgermainalumni.com.

5. Spam protection

The donation form may use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated abuse. Submissions flagged as suspicious may be rejected or delayed for manual review. If you believe a legitimate submission was rejected, please contact us at donations@stgermainalumni.com.

6. Use of funds

Funds donated to a specific named fund (Teacher Benefit Fund, Sports Tournaments Benefit Fund, Student Benefit Fund, Alumni General Benefit Fund) are used for that purpose. Where a fund is fully met or no longer required, the alumni association reserves the right to redirect surplus contributions to the most analogous active fund, with disclosure in the next annual report.

7. Limitation of liability

SGAA's liability is limited to refunding amounts demonstrably collected in error from a donor (see refund policy). To the maximum extent permitted by law, all other warranties and liabilities are disclaimed.

8. Intellectual property

The school crest, motto (Reddituri Pietas), house names (Aranjo, Froger, Thomas, Vissac), and other identifying marks of St. Germain's High School and SGAA are used with the permission of the institution and remain its property.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka.
